Lakeshore Guest House is located on the southern shore of Lake Whitney, Texas, off of highway 22 west of the Lake Whitney Dam. It is 40 miles north of Waco and 60 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth. Click here for driving directions.

There are numerous small convenience stores just a few minutes down the road from the cottage. The town of Whitney is also just a few miles east on highway 22. In Whitney you can also find numerous convenience stores, fast food establishments, several restaurants as well as an array of small shops both on and around the town square. There are also boat and jet ski rentals available nearby, and fishing guide services. Whitney also has a hospital with a staffed Emergency Room and EMS service.

In Hillsboro, 13 miles east of Whitney, is the Prime Outlet Mall, historic Courthouse, and downtown antique shops.
